ELKE

Elke is the owner of Power Pilates in Tustin since April 2016.
Growing up in Germany, Elke started her fitness career at age 17 after she had been diagnosed with slight scoliosis. Soon she decided to become a fitness and aerobics instructor teaching various formats like Step Aerobics, Kick-boxing, and Bodypump. She also competed in the Germany Nationals for Bodybuilding. After having moved to the United States in 2000 she found her love for Pilates and became Stott certified in  Pilates.

Elke has had her own private studio for 10 years in Costa Mesa and has been teaching Pilates for groups, as well as private sessions for “special needs” clients.  She loves to help clients to increase mobility,  get stronger and improve flexibility!

She also is a Personal Trainer and likes to integrate Cardio and Weight Training classes into her programs with certain clients.

JODI

Jodi Adamo

Former Pilates studio owner of 12 years.  Pilates certified through the Ron Fletcher method and BASI Pilates.  Certified personal trainer through NESTA.   Always continuing her education in the fitness industry by attending conventions and workshops annually.  Another fun fact is she was a former professional dancer with LA Lakers girls and LA Clippers Spirit.

SHEELA

Sheela’s Pilates journey began over 10 years ago when she discovered Pilates as an alternative form of rehabilitation and strengthening for her back injuries. She is a BASI Certified Pilates Instructor who focuses on form while offering a full body challenging workout. Sheela also has a background in Classical Indian Dance and Yoga. She enjoys hiking, bike riding and loves the outdoors. Sheela’s passion for Pilates helped her tremendously through the years and she continues to learn more each day through her practice and teaching.

STEPHANIE

Stephanie Locke received her Pilates certification with Body Arts and Science International in 2013. As former competitive gymnast, Stephanie discovered the overall benefits of Pilates while attending California State University, Fullerton, where she received her Bachelors degree in Communication. Stephanie’s passion for Pilates and drive to learn more about the method and industry grew after college. She was awarded the Kathy Grant Memorial Scholarship for the BASI Pilates Teacher Training program and soon after she joined the BASI Pilates team as the Marketing Manager. Throughout her career, Stephanie continues to grow in her practice and strives to help her clients achieve their health and fitness goals through the Principles of Pilates.

DAN

Dan is a retired engineering professional; he enjoys teaching Pilates as a second career and employing his sense of humor and communication skills while instructing and edifying clients in the Pilates Method.  Dan is a graduate of the BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Certification Program, he is PMA (Pilates Method Alliance) certified and is also certified through Carolyne Anthony with The Center for Women’s Fitness to teach Pilates to prenatal and postnatal clients. Dan is experienced in teaching clients of all ages from their early 20’s to clients in their golden years.

KAT

Kat brings to Power Pilates over 12 years of teaching Pilates along with over two decades of experience being a Physical Therapist.  She completed her Pilates certification through BASI in 2004.  She is happy to be part of the Power Pilates team.  She recently received her certification through the Nutritional Therapy Association and is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.  Her love for Pilates focuses on having the students learn the work correctly, making modifications and eager for students to leave the class learning something new about their movement.

BRITTANY

Born and raised in Southern California, Brittany first discovered pilates in college due to a dance injury. It was here where she found her passion for Pilates and decided to be certified. She has been teaching dance since 2005 and Pilates Since 2011 throughout the Los Angeles and Orange County area.  Along with her certification, Brittany has received a B.A in Theater Arts; dance at Loyola Marymount University. She has been a dancer all her life and has been featured in music videos, fashion shows and live stage performances.She has been a guest speaker truly dedicates herself to each person who wants to learn. She enjoys helping others better their health and accompanies the clients in establishing goals for themselves. “When I watch a client grow and succeed through hard work and dedication, its at that very moment when I remember why I teach.”

ASHLEY

Ashley Rae comes to Pilates and Yoga from a gymnastics and dance background. Ashley was a competing gymnast for 10 years of her adolescence and found yoga and Pilates as a safe haven that felt like “home again” when she discovered them in 2013. She has been certified through Balanced Body for about one year and also a certified Hatha Vinyasa yoga and meditation teacher. Ashley knew right away her journey was to become a teacher of both as well as remaining a student for the rest of her life, continuing to expand and grow with her practice to help heal herself and in turn others. With a positive vibration surrounding her she is eager to help beginners and all the way up to advanced students. Ashley is a professional musician, singer-songwriter as well.
